1. Who we are
SKAU LLC (“SKAU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) designs, builds, hosts, manages, and maintains websites for businesses. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through skau.us and communications you send to SKAU.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, business name, email address, phone number, current website or domain information, preferred contact method, project goals, package interest, and any other information you include in an inquiry.
When you use our website, certain technical information may also be processed automatically, such as your IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, referral information, and basic website usage or performance data.
The SKAU AI Assistant is powered by Cloudflare Workers AI and can make mistakes. When you send a chat message, our server sends the message and relevant conversation history to Cloudflare to generate a reply. Your conversation is also kept in your browser tab and cleared after eight hours of inactivity. Contact form details remain in the tab until you consent and submit a request; we then receive your contact details, business information, complete chat transcript, source page, referral source, and available campaign information. The request may also be sent to our team by email. Please do not enter passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information into chat.
Cloudflare processes chat content under its Workers AI data policies. The chat’s deletion control removes the submitted record from SKAU’s chat database; it does not delete email copies. For related requests, use the privacy contact below.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- respond to inquiries and communicate with prospective or current clients;
- prepare, provide, support, and improve SKAU services;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and measure the performance of our website;
- maintain appropriate business and transaction records; and
- comply with legal obligations and protect SKAU, our clients, and our users.
4. Service providers
We may use third-party service providers to operate SKAU and its website. Depending on the service, these providers may process information on our behalf. Examples may include website hosting and security providers, source-code and deployment services, email providers, analytics services, customer-management tools, and payment processors.
We disclose information to service providers only as reasonably necessary for them to perform services for us or when otherwise permitted or required by law.
5. Sale of personal information
SKAU does not sell personal information for money. If our practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.
6. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies
SKAU may use analytics, security, and performance technologies to understand how the site is used, protect it from abuse, and improve reliability. These technologies may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and page activity.
Chat interaction analytics use event names and fixed categories, without message contents, names, email addresses, or phone numbers. Providing a phone number for a website request does not enroll you in promotional text messages.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including responding to inquiries, providing services, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, protecting our systems, and meeting legal obligations.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information in our possession. No method of storage or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your choices
You may contact us to ask about personal information you have provided to SKAU, request that we correct or delete it when appropriate, or ask questions about our privacy practices. Certain records may need to be retained for legitimate business or legal purposes.
In the website assistant, Start over clears the draft from your browser tab. After submitting, Privacy & delete lets you delete that chat's saved database record while this tab retains its deletion credential. To request removal of emailed copies, or if you no longer have the chat open, contact us using the privacy address below.
10. Children’s privacy
SKAU’s website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.
11. Third-party websites
Our website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Material changes may be communicated through the website or by other appropriate means.
